Early Childhood (Ages 3 – 5 years)

Objectives

This programme is designed for children generally in the age range of 3 to 5 years. The goal is to nurture inventiveness as it engages children in a process that aids the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation and self-motivation.

Your child will acquire developmental skills necessary to help them learn new mediums.

Programme

This class uses paper with oil pastel crayons and water colours. The exercises will teach children to hold pens and brushes properly, and encourage them to go from drawing irregular lines to basic shapes such as rectangles, triangles, and circles.

Children in this group will also begin to learn colouring and to recognize various colours. The classes in this programme use an oil paste/crayon as the learning tool to develop basic drawing techniques. Once a degree of mastery is accomplished the student then moves on to mixing art tools such as watercolours, pens and markers.
